Tuition Refund Fraud

A type of financial aid fraud in which an individual enrolls in an institution to obtain financial aid funds and subsequently receives a tuition refund without a genuine intent to participate in or complete coursework. Tuition refund fraud often involves deceptive enrollment activity and may be associated with ghost student fraud schemes.
